The files published here contain spatial effort (fishing days) and landings data (weight in tonnes and value in euro) collected in the context of the DCF Fisheries Dependent Information (FDI) data calls and disseminated accordingly to the format proposed during the STECF EWGs 19-11, 20-10, 21-10 and 21-12.
For details please refer to the reports from the STECF EWG 19-11 (paragraph 3.4, table 3.4.1.1), 20-10 (paragraph 3.3.1) and 21-12 (paragraph 3.3).

Spatial effort and landings data are disseminated as CSV files; spatial files can be produced by joining the CSV tables with the c-squares dataset included.
Two datasets are provided: one for EU27 (excluding the United Kingdom) and one for EU28 (including the United Kingdom and with United Kingdom data only available for years 2014-2020).

Please note that, the spatial data for Mediterranean and Black Sea areas are available only from year 2017 onwards (for the previous years, some Member States provided spatial data on a voluntary basis).

Please note that, to ensure consistency, data with the following issues were excluded from the dataset:
- data with c-square or geographical coordinates not contained in the specified sub-region
- data with inconsistent combination of geographical coordinates and rectangle type
and in addition:
- data from Portugal marked as confidential in the supra-region OFR were excluded as requested by the STECF EWGs 20-10 and 19-11
- a series of c-squares with confidential records were omitted from the final dataset upon request from Netherlands and Portugal.
