The files published here contains spatial effort (fishing days) and landings data (weight in tonnes and value in euro) collected in the context of the 2021 DCF Fisheries Dependent Information (FDI) data call and disseminated accordingly to the format proposed during the STECF EWGs 19-11, 20-10, 21-10 and 21-12. For details please refer to the reports from the STECF EWG 19-11 (paragraph 3.4, table 3.4.1.1), 20-10 (paragraph 3.3.1) and 21-10 and 21-12 (paragraph 3.6, 3.6.3). The spatial effort (fishing days) and landings data (weight in tonnes and value in euro) are disseminated as EU27 (excluding the United Kingdom) and EU28 (including the United Kingdom).

Please note that, in the 2021 FDI data call, the spatial data for Mediterranean and Black Sea areas were requested 
only for the year 2020 (for the previous years, some Member States provided spatial data on a voluntary basis).

Please note that, to ensure consistency, data with the following issues were excluded from the dataset used 
to prepare the map: 
- data with c-square or geographical coordinates not contained in the specified sub-region;
- data with inconsistent combination of geographical coordinates and rectangle type.
In addition, data from Portugal marked as confidential in the supra-region OFR were excluded as requested by the STECF EWGs 20-10 and 19-11. In addition, a series of c-squares with confidential records were omitted from the final dataset upon request from Netherlands and Portugal.
