These files are the latest version and presently there is no ongoing development. The data sources are documented in two reports for the European and Global scale respectively: 1. Pistocchi, A., Vizcaino, M.P., Pennington, D.W., Analysis of Landscape and Climate Parameters for Continental Scale Assessment of the Fate of Pollutants EUR 22624 EN ISSN: 1018-5593 ISBN: 978-92-79-04809-8. Luxembourg: Office for Official Publications of the European Communities, 2007 [file provided under \MAPPE\MAPPE_Europe\LATEST] 2. Zulian, G., Isoardi, P., Pistocchi, A., Global Atlas of Environmental Parameters for Chemical Fate and Transport Assessment. Publications Office of the European Union, 2010. Anyway, the value of the work is in the data and concept more than in the original scripts. In order to facilitate running calculations, all formulas for the European scale version are in a “formulas.cfg” file under \MAPPE\MAPPE_Europe\LATEST; under \MAPPE\MAPPE_Global\LATEST, a set of ArcGIS toolboxes are provided that enable computing removal rates for chemicals at global scale according to Pistocchi et al., 2011 (see above). . The best way to retrieve global datasets is to open the “Atlas” directory under \MAPPE\MAPPE_Global\LATEST; data are organized following Zulian et al., 2010 (see above). Finally, we provide an Excel workbook with a list of chemicals and associated physic-chemical properties that can be used as a starting point for calculations, under \MAPPE\MAPPE_Europe\LATEST.
